About Lee Thinnes
LEE'S ANTIQUES was founded in April, 2006 by owner LEE THINNES in Winnetka, Illinois. Lee started the business after many years of curating for her own private collection as well as doing interior design work.
Although Lee studied business in college and worked for many years in marketing and advertising, it was her passion for design and antiques that was her true calling.
As a youth, Lee was exposed to architecture and design through her parents, especially while working summers for her mother whom managed an architectural firm.
Lee is an antiquarian with a fervor for curating an exquisite collection of antique and vintage European and American furniture, lighting,
mirrors, fine art and objets d'art from the early to mid 20th century.
Lee believes that her clients should be surrounded by beauty with a touch of history with each antique they purchase. This ultimately creates a sense of sublime satisfaction and happiness. She is mindful of collecting only the most coveted and unique pieces so that each item has a story behind it which ultimately adds to their value and beauty.
Lee’s mission is to help her clients achieve confidence in collecting and to appreciate the art of mixing vintage with period antiques to create a chic, sophisticated atmosphere in their home.
